Sally is an adult PDA artist, author, advocate and animator, as well as the mom of a PDA kid of her own.

She lives in south-west England, and is a qualified person centered counselor and has a graduate diploma in animation and interactive media, for which she received a high distinction.

Sleep Misfits is the first book to extensively explore delayed sleep phase syndrome (DSPS) and non-24-hour-sleep-wake disorder (Non-24) through the words of actual experients.

Text book style descriptions are supplemented with research links, and sit alongside comments volunteered by real-life DSPS and Non-24 people, and a wealth of illustrations (not available in the e-book version).

Calendar Girl (2022)

Calendar Girl is Sally Cat’s short memoir which recounts her early childhood with the aid of her rare photographic, calendar memory.

It includes crystal clear memories of babyhood, toddlerhood and young childhood of growing up in a dysfunctional, undiagnosed neurodivergent family.

The short memoir’s purpose is to communicate the lived experience of an internalising PDA child to parents seeking to understand their own kids.

Stella Noctella (2022)

A fun and engaging fairytale to appeal to many children. Every page is colourfully illustrated, and the narrative is written in verse.

On a deeper level, it describes a little-known circadian sleep disorder called DSPS (delayed sleep phase syndrome), which can be a confusing and isolating condition to grow up with. The information about DSPS is in words children can understand.
